Our Mission

Excellent instruction, everyday, in every class for every student, everywhere.

We embrace a partnership approach in everything we do, and although professional development for and in support of instructional coaches is central to our work, we also provide support for teachers, administrators, and other leaders.

Over 20 years of research, workshops, institutes, publications, and other programming efforts with one goal in mind: to help students experience better learning and better lives.

Long-term Partnership

Implement a Systemic Approach to Coaching

Long-term partnership has the greatest likelihood of turning professional learning into professional practice. It aids in sustainable coaching cultures where coaching becomes a practice everyone in the system embraces. This type of partnership moves schools and districts beyond workshops and courses to promote deeper implementation of research-based instructional coaching. Partnership can involve not only workshops but also coaching of coaching leaders, consistent communication support, and embedded work on district- and school-specific concerns.

Our Framework: Seven Factors for Success

Three students walk down the hallway to class, each with a confident and eager facial expression.

A personalized workshop designed around your school or district’s specific needs

Our 20+ years of research has shown us there are seven areas that must be engaged to ensure a successful coaching program. Without purposeful development and support in all seven areas, your coaching program will not meet its maximum potential, allowing opportunities for educators to become discouraged, and those who are the most vulnerable—your students—will suffer the most loss. Learn more about our framework and how you can implement it in your school or district below.

Extended Support

Your ongoing mission deserves ongoing support

We know that after the excitement of an event day wears off, there can be a bit of a “What’s next?” feeling. Don’t let that valuable training fall to the wayside. Embedded coaching days provide on-the-spot professional learning with an ICG senior consultant, focused on the needs of each coach as it pertains to the Impact Cycle coaching model.
